Speech and Theatre Arts Department Chair

jacob-ll@actx.edu

Lynaé got her start at AC where she took summer classes for several years. She continued her studies at Southwest Texas State University and then received a BS in education and an MA in Speech and Theatre at West Texas State University.  Lynaé found her passion on the stage at the age of nine and has since pursued that passion in the Amarillo area. She has performed, taught, and directed in Amarillo for the past twenty years. Eleven of those years were spent teaching speech and theatre direction at Amarillo High School where her students received numerous honorable mentions, all star, best actor and actress awards as well as outstanding technical theatre awards. Many audiences will recognize Lynaé from a variety of roles at the Amarillo Little Theatre as well as local commercials and voice-overs.  In spite of her busy schedule, Lynaé and her husband, Brian, enjoy spending time watching musicals, concerts, and the athletic events of their children, Jordan and Connor. Lynaé's hobbies include sewing, singing, and snow skiing.
