Mr. Jeffries holds a B.A. from Texas Christian University and an M.A. from Trinity University/Dallas Theatre Center. He retired from secondary school teaching after 32 years. During his years of competition in the UIL OAP, he appeared at the State AAAAA level with a number of winning shows including: Hamlet, Tartuffe, and Hedda Gabler. He has two first place awards for Nicholas Nickleby and Beggar's Opera. He was elected to the Hall of Fame by the Theatre Educational Association and received the Founder’s Award from TETA. He founded Texas Theatre Consultants and has worked with teachers and students across the country on theatre curricula, production and performance. He has published six of his UIL cuttings with Baker’s Plays. He just retired again as the Director of Theatre at St. Philip’s College in San Antonio.
