About Us

Sigma Kappa Delta is the National English honor society
for students in two-year colleges.
 

Our Charter is to:
-  Recognize and reward outstanding achievement in English
      language and literature.

-  Provide cultural stimulation and promote interest in
      English on two-year college campuses and in the
      communities they serve.

-  Foster English in all its aspects, including creative and
      critical writing.

-  Promote good professional interaction among members.

-  Exhibit high standards of academic achievement.


What are the requirements to join Sigma Kappa Delta:

-  You must be enrolled in a two-year college.

-  Have completed at least one college course (excluding
      developmental courses) in English language or literature.

-  Have no grade lower than a B in English.

-  Have a minimum GPA of 3.3.

-  Have completed at least 12 hours of college course work.
