TAME LEGO Contest

Objective

To increase the awareness of engineering-related fields among all grade school students.

LEGO CONTEST RULES

Open Competition

Students (individual or teams of 2-4) entering this competition will be given an allotted amount of time to build a project of their own choosing.  A competition  Lego set will be provided by the TAME chapter for the students to use in the event. Judging of the projects will be based on originality and the ability of the builders (s) to explain the concept of the project.

Free-Style Competition

Students (individual or teams of 2-40 entering this competition will be given an allotted amount of time to build a project of their own choosing.  Students in this event must supply their own Lego set(s) for this competition. There are no restrictions on the type of Lego set(s) used.  Judging of this competition is the same as the open competition. Students may enter one or both competitions.

The projects judged best in their grade level (2nd - 5th grades) will win prizes in the top three places. There will be a prize for the best overall project. Professional engineers will serve as judges for this event.
