TEXAS ALLIANCE FOR MINORITIES IN ENGINEERING (TAME)
CORPORATE STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP
Funding for
scholarships are provided by local businesses and corporations with
the express purpose of promoting science, mathematics, and
engineering-related career fields. The number and amount of the
scholarships awarded will be determined by the amount donated to the
scholarship fund. Generally three (3) -$500.00 scholarships are
awarded annually.
To be considered
for awards, the following requirements must be met by all applicants.
1. Student must be a high school
senior and should have participated in one (1) Amarillo Chapter TAME
activity during high school.
2. You must major in science,
mathematics, or engineering discipline to be considered for this
scholarship.
3.
You must be accepted as a full time student
at an accredited college or university.
4. All scholarship awards will ve
forwarded to the Financial Aid Office at the college/university
designated by the student.
5. Any and all funds remaining
after payment fo tuition, books, and fees will be held for the student
by the Financial Aid Office for use the following semester.
6. If all funds are not used
within two consecutive semesters and/or summer sessions, the remaining
funds will be forfeited.
7. Awards are based on merit,
academic potential, achievement, and financial need. Applicants must
meet all minimum enrollment and qualifications as required by the
college or university.
8. Scholarship information will
be mailed out March 1st. The deadline for the return of
scholarship applications is April 15th. All applications
for scholarships must be received by this date.
9. Please attach a small
photograph to your application. Photographs will be used for newspaper
press release if you are selected. All photos will be returned.
