The Panhandle Tech Prep/School to Careers Partnership won two state awards for outstanding performance, leadership and partnership. The first award was the Texas 4-H Citation For Outstanding Service Award. The partnership also was recognized as one of the Top Two Consortia in Texas. The award was presented for excellence in participation, grant management and state and local leadership for implementing Tech Prep in the Texas Panhandle.

State Employees Charitable Campaign has raised $34,458.89, which is 86.2 percent toward the goal of $40,000. The campaign will end Nov. 1.

Monster Mash will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Saturday at the CUB. Those attending are urged to wear costumes. A dance will follow at 9:30 p.m. for anyone age 18 or over.

Flu Shots still are available on the West Campus for $13.75. Contact Richard Pullen.

New Staff Member Andrea Loyd works at the physical plant office on the Washington Street Campus. She will help with scheduling of vehicles, keys and other departmental duties.

Registrar Dennis McMillan's last day at AC will be today. He has accepted the position of associate vice president for enrollment and student services at the University of Texas-Pan American.

Advance Registration Begins on Nov. 2 for winter classes.
