Eggs recognized
The
Amarillo College Classified Employee Association has released the
results of the annual Good Egg Awards.
The awards are given to recognize the work of classified employees.
Winners are:
Linda Butler, Human Resources -- Received the Poached Egg Award
because she performs well, even in hot water.
Marian Daniel, Circulation Support -- Received the 3-Minute Egg
Award because she solves problems in a jiffy.
Wanda Forrester-Janice, Access Division -- Received the Green Eggs
and Ham Award because we would like her anywhere.
Yvettle Lawler, Business Office -- Received the Deviled Egg Award
because she adds spice to our lives.
Diana Mills, Physical Plant -- Received the Egg Carton Award because
she always has 12 things going at once.
Carol Moore, Enrollment Management -- Received the Egg Nog Award
because she knows how to host a good time.
Helen Wright, Business Office -- Received the Egg Souffle Award
because she always rises to the occasion.
Henry Wyckoff, Department Chairman for Transportation Technology --
Received the Egg Salad Award because no matter how busy he is, he
always can sandwich you in.
James Elliott and Theresa Rider, of the Business Office were given
the "Academy Award" of the Good Egg awards.

A
change of information form is available on the Amarillo College Web
site.
The form will allow students to change information such as e-mail
address, mailing address or phone number without coming on campus.
The form is on the "Current Students," "Prospective Students" and "START
Center" pages. The form can be downloaded, printed, completed and
faxed back to AC.
Pulitzer
winner's work displayed
Ben
Sargent, a Ranger staff member from 1966 to 1968 and Amarillo
College's first distinguished alumnus honoree in 1993, is recognized
with a display on the first floor of Lynn Library. Sargent is a
cartoonist for the Austin American-Statesman. He won the Pulitzer in
1982 for editorial cartoons. He earned his bachelor's degree at the
University of Texas at Austin.
Student
recognized
AC
student Jennie Bauman was recognized as a USA Today Academic First
Team member on April 7 at the American Association of Community
Colleges convention.
Bauman received a $2,500 scholarship, a medallion and a
commemorative obelisk. Her photo was featured in the April 7 edition
of USA Today. She is the daughter of Dr. Robert Bauman, chairman of
the biology department. Spring
jazz concert
According
to Music Professor Jim Laughlin, the spring jazz concert will be at
7:30 p.m. April 22 in the Concert Hall Theatre.
Admission is free to everyone.
