Toxorhynchites Mosquitoes from southeast Asia are imported to destroy them. Gypsy Moths were introduced into the USA from Europe and have become a serious forest pest. Larvae are bred infected with virus. Their dead bodies are ground up and mixed into a spray to kill the wild populations.
  7. Monopony Worms are eaten as food by man in Botswana Africa. In Thailand Bamboo Worms are eaten. Hornet Grubs are steamed and eaten. Giant Rhinoceros Beetles are kept as pets and used for gambling. Silkworms are cultivated by man for fabric. This cultivation has been going on for over 1,000 years. The moths are totally domesticated and can not live in the wild any more. Carpenter Bees are farmed to pollinate crops. Honey Bees are cultivated for the production of honey. This has been done since the dawn of time.
