Completion of Amarillo College's two-year journalism degree plan satisfies the first two years of a four-year program at senior institutions which offer degrees in journalism. While enrolled, students gain hands-on experience in newspaper and magazine production.
In addition to quality instruction, participating students have access to state, regional and national workshops and organizations as well as participate in competitions against journalists representing other two- and four-year institutions.
